Just my two cents on irrelevant people in our lives

When people assume the worst in you, when they think they know more about you than they really do...

Cut them out of your life. They will only do you damage. There are times when people like to eat someone else's biscuits instead of their own. They like to break you with their words. They bully people, they gossip about people, they will do anything to step on you to hurt you.

Do not let their words define you and with you, take this little quote from Emily Fields played by Shay Mitchell on Pretty Little Liars:

It happens that on rare occasions certain individuals like to be superior than others. No one ever minds their own because it is easier to pick out the flaws of others. You just have to remind yourself to just keep on doing you, never adjust or change who you really are and what you are meant to be just to change someone's point of view about you. Let's face it, it will be hard and it might not even happen. Others will only choose what they want to believe. It is difficult to change the perceptions of narrow minded people since they refuse to avoid and let go of their fixated beliefs. It's like squeezing and forcing your foot to fit in a shoe that will never fit you.

It's human nature to sometimes believe everything you hear about someone but it takes the guts to put these assumptions aside to get to know the person. It's called being the better person. You never know, you might be pointing your finger at the wrong person. Who knows, you might even need their help later on.

Do you spend more time at work than with your family?

I found this really touching story about a father who works really hard for
his family and his son..

SON: "Daddy, may I ask you a question?"
DAD: "Yeah sure, what is it?"
SON: "Daddy, how much do you make an hour?"
DAD: "That's none of your business. Why do you ask such a thing?"
SON: "I just want to know. Please tell me, how much do you make an hour?"

DAD: "If you must know, I make $100 an hour."
SON: "Oh! (With his head down).
SON: "Daddy, may I please borrow $50?"

The father was furious.

DAD: "If the only reason you asked that is so you can borrow some money to buy a silly toy or some other nonsense, then you march yourself straight to your room and go to bed. Think about why you are being so selfish. I work hard everyday for such this childish behavior."

The little boy quietly went to his room and shut the door. The man sat down and started to get even angrier about the little boy's questions. How dare he ask such questions only to get some money?

After about an hour or so, the man had calmed down, and started to think: Maybe there was something he really needed to buy with that $ 50 and he really didn't ask for money very often. The man went to the door of the little boy's room and opened the door.

DAD: "Are you asleep, son?"

SON: "No daddy, I'm awake."
DAD: "I've been thinking, maybe I was too hard on you earlier. It's been a long day and I took out my aggravation on you. Here's the $50 you asked for."

The little boy sat straight up, smiling.

SON: "Oh, thank you daddy!"

Then, reaching under his pillow he pulled out some crumpled up bills. The man saw that the boy already had money, started to get angry again. The little boy slowly counted out his money, and then looked up at his father.

DAD: "Why do you want more money if you already have some?"

SON: "Because I didn't have enough, but now I do.
Daddy, I have $100 now. Can I buy an hour of your time? Please come home early tomorrow. I would like to have dinner with you."
The father was crushed. He put his arms around his little son, and he begged for his forgiveness.

This story is just a short reminder to all of you working so hard in life. We should not let time slip through our fingers without having spent some time with those who really matter to us, those close to our hearts. Do remember to share that $100 worth of your time with someone you love. If we die tomorrow, the company that we are working for could easily replace us in a matter of days. But the family and friends we leave behind will feel the loss for the rest of their lives. And come to think of it, we pour ourselves more into work than to our family.

Some things are more important than others.

_______________________________________________________________________________

I am not quite sure if this story really happened or not. I also am not taking any credit for this work. But I can show you where I read it from, over here. Thought I should just post it for you all to read because it really is true. I hope this serves as an eye-opener for most of you. Often times, especially for families who need to have both parents working due to financial circumstances, lose time for each other because of work schedules. We should always remember that a time spent with family is the greatest thing in the world. Even when you work hard for your family, family time should be prioritized because you do not know when your last breath will be. Spending time with your family also relieves you from being tired and stressed. To make and have memories with your family makes all your hard work worth it.

To stay or not to stay

Hello awesome readers,

As you all know (or not).. I am a really depressed person, I have been this way for almost two years and it's crazy how I haven't gotten out of the depression haul phase.. It started when I went off to University, things started to change really fast and way out of my control. Right to this day, I still do not know why everything just fell apart like a domino since November 2011. The choices I made, the disappointments, I feel like I have let myself down big time. I am seeing all my friends move on with their lives, most of them look really happy with what they are doing. Some are working students, some are working students + socialites, while some are just there.. and I am sitting here behind this laptop thinking.. oh God, how about me? I am just here waiting for the next day to wake up and sleep, when will I ever find out what I want to do for the rest of my life?

I have recently talked to my friends here in North America, we caught up and I found out that they are going to the Philippines to study and there's a great possibility that some of them will stay there to work. Before I found out about their plans, I have been thinking about it myself too. Ever since last year, my mom had already given me the signal that I can go home and study there.. Gaaaaah, I would love to! But I really cannot leave my mother here. Besides, I am not even sure if I will be happy after I make this decision. I do not even know if what I am thinking is the right thing to do. This is the biggest decision I will ever make and I do not think I can ever afford to make one more big mistake in my life. I have lost myself along the way, and my wants have slipped away from me and I just want to get back on the right track. The problem is, I do not know how. I have no clue where to start. I need me, but where can I find me?

Should I stay or should I go?
Should I go back to where my heart belongs?
What am I missing out on?

I honestly hope I figure it out soon.
I am so tired and I just want to do something with my life.
Hoping for the best.

Blogging Ideas?

Hello awesome bloggers!

To any of you who might come across this blog, please be generous and kind enough to drop some ideas on what to blog about by leaving some comments below this post. I really have zero experience with blogging except Tumblr which does not even count since 90% of my posts on my blogs are not even mine. The topics do no matter, you can drop unlimited ideas, and I will blog about it. The only exception would be a topic that I have no knowledge of. Please, I am begging *laughs, I seriously need to practice the art of writing more and by giving me ideas on what to write about would open doors and new experiences for me. If you need advice, I will write about it. If you need my opinion, I am a very opinionated person so go ahead and let me know!

Also if you have some tips on how to make my blog better visually, verbosely, etc. please have the honor to teach me. I love welcoming ideas and learning more about this blog because I am actually planning to keep updating this for as long as I can.

Please generate some ideas and I will be more than happy to write about it.

Thank you. Have a great week!

Humannetrics Jung Typology Test Result

Carl Jung and his epic theories always interested me in so many ways in different levels. I have always preferred him over Freud. I love going to my Psychology lecture classes because of him. He made a huge impact and influence in the world and until this day, people still talk about him.

One late afternoon, a friend of mine tweeted about Myers-Briggs (16 Personality Types), and she said she's the INFJ (Introvert, iNtuitive, Feeling, Judging) type. I, sometimes, think that I am an INFJ but I knew deep down I was not an introvert. She then told me to take the online test. I was so excited because I was not aware that there was one online, so I took it! Before I tell you my result,  familiarize yourself first with the 16 types if you do not know what I am talking about.

It took a while for me to process my result but I knew all along, I was an INFJ.... sorta. The result of the test that I took is very accurate, I am an ENFJ. See! I love the fact that I know who I am, deep inside. I forgot to screencapture my result so I will show how the result looked like through my friend's result whom I recommended the test to.

That is her result. Although hers are bigger numbers, mine is a little different. I will type my results and just apply it to the picture above.

What my type result said:

HUMMANETRICS JUNG TYPOLOGY TEST

YOUR TYPE

ENFJ

EXTRAVERT (11%)   INTUITIVE (38%)    FEELING (38%)    JUDGING (1%)
  • You have slight preference of Extraversion over Introversion (11%)
  • You have moderate preference of Intuition over Sensing (38%)
  • You have moderate preference of Feeling over Thinking (38%)
  • You have marginal or no preference of Judging over Perceiving (1%)

The difference between my result to my friend's is our percentage. If you compare the numbers, she is obviously more of a distinctive ENFJ, while I am on moderate.. Also since I only have marginal or sometimes, no preference of Judging over Perceiving by 1%, that makes me a bit of an ENFP as well. On top of being an ENFP, I mentioned earlier that I am sorta INFJ because I am only 11% extravert, and the numbers between being an ENFJ and INFJ is not too large. But all in all, I am an ENFJ as a whole. Are you lost yet? Yeah I would be too! I am still trying to understand my result and still slightly confused with the percentages provided. My confusion and curiosity drive me insane and it won't allow me to sleep in peace until I fill myself in and clear up all the muddle. Although I was so lazy that day, I had to deal with it and asked Google for some briefing.

I am just going to copy and paste what I found, it may count as plagiarizing but I am so lazy to explain it in my own words.. Actually, I will copy and paste some characteristics of each letter.

EXTROVERTED vs INTROVERTED

Outgoing and people person vs. Comfortable feeling alone

Act first, then think vs. Think before action
Expressive and enthusiastic vs. Reserved, keeps everything to self
Easy to approach vs. Formal and unapproachable
Energizing people vs Calming people
Failing to give others the time to talk vs Failing to share his or her thoughts

Seek higher arousal to feel alive vs. Seek lower arousal to not feel overwhelmed

When we are dealing with the world outside of ourself, we are "extraverting". When we are inside our own minds, we are "introverting".

*Introverts see extraverts as shallow and pushy.
*Extraverts see introverts as egocentric and passive

iNTUITIVE VS SENSING

Process information through patterns and impressions vs. Process information through the five senses
Focus on future and possibilities vs. Focus on the present

Abstract thinkers, read between the lines vs. Concrete thinker, what you see is what you get
Trusts gut feeling, intution, instinct vs. Limiting actions to facts and solid data

The "Sensing" preference absorbs data in a literal, concrete fashion. The "Intuitive" preference generates abstract possibilities from information that is gathered. We all use both Sensing and Intuition in our lives, but to different degrees of effectiveness and with different levels of comfort.

*Intuiting; seem theoretical and impractical

*Sensing; short-sighter and frivolous

FEELING VS THINKING

Makes decisions based on principles and values vs. Makes decisions based on facts

Ruled by heart vs Ruled by mind
Judge based on feelings and circumstances vs. Judge based on logic
Easily hurt vs. Thick-Skinned
Empathetic vs. Firm with people
Driven by emotion, gentle vs. Driven by thought, critical

When someone makes a decision that is based on logic and reason, they are operating in 'Thinking' mode. When someone makes a decision that is based on their value system, or what they believe to be right, they are operating in 'Feeling' mode. We all use both modes for making decisions, but we put more trust into one mode or the other. A "Thinker" makes decisions in a rational, logical, impartial manner, based on what they believe to be fair and correct by pre-defined rules of behavior. A "Feeler" makes decisions on the individual case, in a subjective manner based on what they believe to be right within their own value systems.

*Feelers are seen unreliable and emotional

*Thinkers are seen cold and heartless

JUDGING VS PERCEIVING

Like order, organization vs. Like to keep options open

Think sequentially vs. Think randomly
Want things planned and settled vs. Act spontaneously and adaptable
Make choices early vs. Make choices when necessary

People with the Judging preference want things to be neat, orderly and established. The Perceiving preference wants things to be flexible and spontaneous. Judgers want things settled, Perceivers want thing open-ended.

*Judgers seem opinionated and rigid
*Perceivers seem aimless drifters

ENFJ people according to Joe Butt

I will also copy some of Joe Butt statements that I agree on and then I will have my commentary by telling you how his descriptions of ENFJ's are similar to my personality.

In Februay 2005, Joe Butt talked about ENFJ.. and here's some of the things he said,
"ENFJs are the benevolent 'pedagogues' of humanity. They have tremendous charisma by which many are drawn into their..... Many ENFJs have tremendous power to manipulate others with their phenomenal interpersonal skills and unique salesmanship. But it's usually not meant as manipulation -- ENFJs generally believe in their dreams, and see themselves as helpers and enablers, which they usually are.."

I would have to agree on that. Not because I am conceited but I get this compliment a lot. My best friend constantly compliments me about my interpersonal skills and considers me as one of the few people who can engage in a conversation with anyone, no problem, even with strangers. Aside from people I know personally, strangers approach me and tell me that I possess some charm that they cannot explain. Pretty weird right? Yeah I felt that way too but I got used to it. I am very persuasive that I can make customers buy a product. I call it a gift! I feel lucky because some people are good in persuasion but they sometimes lack the charm. Ok, for someone who hasn't proven anything to the world, that is a vain thing for me to say.

"ENFJs know and appreciate people. Like most NFs, (and Feelers in general), they are apt to neglect themselves and their own needs for the needs of others. They have thinner psychological boundaries than most, and are at risk for being hurt or even abused by less sensitive people. ENFJs often take on more of the burdens of others than they can bear."

This is fairly accurate. I often comfort my friends, even the ones I am not associated with at all, just as long as I can provide anything to make them feel better, even when I have my own stuff to deal with. I am a very empathetic person and I get concerned easily towards someone who is having a hard time and it does not matter what kind of situation they are in, I try my best to reach out even when sometimes people think I am insincere. When it comes to appreciation, whenever someone does something for me, big or small, and some might not even seem like a big deal to the doer or giver, I make sure they get my sincerest thanks and that I appreciate every single thing they do for me. Sometimes I take an extra mile to show how grateful I am for them. I make sure I acknowledge the good deeds because sometimes, that is what I want to get. I know deep inside, I am a good person, and no matter how heavy the load I am carrying, I still put people's feelings and needs first.

"ENFJs are blessed through introverted intuition with clarity of perception in the inner, unconscious world."

My intuition, gut feeling, especially my instincts are right and exact 98% of the time. I do not think I have to further elaborate, it is pretty much self-explanatory. All I can say is, you cannot hide secrets from me, and your inner feelings toward me, it will show. I can read people through their actions and facial expressions, and sometimes through their words.

So that is the break down of the ENFJ personal category. It is time to talk about the career path.

I was curious and I was fascinated with how precise all the results and information were. My fascination led me to search for more details. This might be a very long post for you (you might not even care at all, but if you are still reading, you are a legend!) but I want to continue and elaborate more about it.

The next information you are going to read is from this site.

"ENFJs are enthusiastic problem-solvers, especially when they can put their strong intuition about people to good use."

"ENFJs strive for cooperation and work best in a harmonious environment where they can support other people and encourage their growth. They often take on a mentor role, seeing their primary aim as helping other people become better at what they do."

"ENFJs are often attracted to leadership roles; they naturally organize people to take advantage of their unique talents. They often have a strong vision in their work, and enjoy being able to use their creativity to develop innovative initiatives with a humanitarian focus. ENFJs appreciate teamwork, and they want to have the organizational resources to put their ideas into action. The ideal job for an ENFJ allows them to develop and implement ideas that improve the circumstances and well-being of other people."

"ENFJs often find themselves in occupations that require good interpersonal skills to establish productive collaboration as well as to establish or maintain effective work process. ENFJs one of the most “universal” personality types and they build successful careers in a broad range of organizations and occupations. There are many ENFJs found among mid- and high-rank management roles. Sales, various social services, counseling, teaching, healthcare, community care as well as legal and paralegal services are just some of the examples of favourable occupations for ENFJs."

The careers I found are:

  • Psychologist
  • Counselor
  • Social Worker
  • Teacher
  • Computer Engineer/Programmer
  • Game Designer
  • Politician
  • Manager (Business, Human Resources, etc.)
  • Fashion Merchandiser
  • Cardiology Technician

I do not think I need to further elaborate on this topic. All I can say is I am quite happy to see Psychologist and Human Resources Management on the list. There's a reason why I chose Psychology in the first place, and that is because I possess it in me. Ever since I found out what Psychology is about, I did not think twice and knew that it was for me. Not to mention the fact that this test is all based in Psychological study. Thanks Carl Jung!

Some famous ENFJs are:

  1. Nelson Mandela
  2. Bill Clinton
  3. Barack Obama
  4. Oprah Winfrey
  5. John Cusack
  6. Ben Affleck
  7. Martin Luther King Jr.
  8. Johnny Depp

IN TERMS OF LOVE

"ENFJs make warm, committed lovers who are willing to go to great lengths for the sake of "The Relationship"....They take their commitments seriously, and are likely to put forth a lot of effort into making a relationship work once they have committed themselves to it. In the event that a relationship fails, the ENFJ will feel a lot of guilt, and take on blame for the failure, but they will move on with their lives with relative ease, without looking backwards."

"For the ENFJ, the most important aspect of a sexual encounter is the affirmation of love and affection.""Although the ENFJ will probably not ask for it, they need to be given sweet words and loving affirmation. Since they are so externally focused on serving people, they do not always pay attention to their own needs. However, if they focus entirely on giving without doing some taking, they may find themselves in an unhealthy, unbalanced relationship. They need to work on being aware of their needs, and being OK with verbalizing those needs to their partners.""The ENFJ is intensely and enthusiastically involved in their personal relationships. They bring fun and warmth into the equation, and are willing to work hard to make things work."

The entire population only has 3% of ENFJs. I just wanted to express how proud I am to be a part of that 3%. It is quite challenging to be an ENFJ because we have to bend, stretch and adjust to some people with personalities we do not get along with due to the fact that we like to please everyone and we want to get along with everybody. All these characteristics and description are very accurate to who I really am. I strive to make it as a responsibility to help those in need, especially to those are emotionally troubled (since I really do not have the means to help financially yet). A lot of people see me as a very supportive person and I love that people can see that. I also love bringing out the best in people. I tend to give warm affection to all the people I love. I am very passionate and I enjoy looking after people. But I am most proud of my values and how important my values are to me, and how I have no difficulty in sharing my opinions and ideas. It makes it really easy for me to communicate to others effectively and this is beneficial because it helps me connect to people. Actually, since I am all these things, I have this mentality that I want to be valued and somehow, in return, I hope to be prioritized once in a while. It is not easy to be an ENFJ, but all that I want is to focus on giving a warm, comforting and cheerful presence and approach to people.

So how about you? What personality type are you? Find out here and comment down below.

Ruined my night.

How can someone be so fucking selfish and be so proud of it?
Why wish everyone you know including the ones you love suffer?
How the fuck do you even sleep in peace knowing someone is suffering?
How dare you.

Fuck you. Lost so much respect.

I deserve a goddamn vacation!

I honestly do not want to sound so ungrateful that is why I had second thoughts about making this post but it's killing me. It's killing me that it has been two years too long since the last time I went somewhere really far... Orlando,  Florida.

I mean, I appreciate nature's beauty but I am so tired of seeing the same shit, winter, it's so dull outside. I know spring is right around the corner but no, I want to go somewhere. I miss having to journey to places. Really, the destination does not matter, I miss sitting my ass in the car for hours to get to Florida. Yes, Toronto to fucking Florida. It takes us about two days, no duh, we rest. We don't drive straight all the way to Florida, we have our stop overs, check in at hotels, check out, eat, drive. Driving straight to Florida sounds humanly possible but if you're smart enough, you would figure cars, vans any type of transportation have limits, it's like a human being, it needs a rest, otherwise, it would overheat. So if you didn't think about that, you are stupid and ignorant. What is so wrong about road trips? It's honestly the best shit ever.

But yeah this is one of those posts that make no sense to others but makes so much sense for you. It relieves you. It helps. All I'm saying is I'm so stressed and depressed that I really need a break from everything, stop doing my habits for a week or more and go somewhere, anywhere, doesn't matter if I get there through a road trip or by a plane... I just really want to go somewhere. So sick of Toronto. I never thought I would be so sick of such city. I mean it has offered me so many opportunities, but I just really need a break. It's just one of those days where you want to be somewhere else because your mind and heart are wandering and hoping you were somewhere else. I want to smell fresh air, fresh fucking air like the kind of air they have in Florida. I just want to relax and have my mind at peace for once.

And I know in the next few days or so, I will read this again and I regret some of the things I said here because I know I am not sick of Toronto, I am just sick of my habits.
