Growing Out My Eyebrows Then Waxing

Right after my eyebrow wax July 2014 (after growing them out)

Right after my eyebrow wax in April 2014 (before growing them out)
Hello my dear readers! It has been a really really long time since I last blogged on this website. I now have a different blog (and it is updated) on Tumblr, so please check it out:
click here or copy and paste this linkhttp://apunchofthought.tumblr.com

The last time I got my eyebrows done was during the mid-week of April this year. But yesterday, after three long months, I finally got my eyebrows waxed and groomed once again. So yes, I grew my eyebrows out. My problem with my eyebrows (not that it really bothers me), towards the end of it (where it starts to angle) is so thin, making it a lot noticeable whenever I get my brows groomed (as you can see from the last picture above where I'm wearing a red hoodie - and this was taken on April by the way). But I am thankful that my eyebrows don't grow back thick, and when it grows, it will take 8-9 weeks (2 months) for it to start looking like a jungle. Haha

I am happy with how my eyebrows turned out after growing them out for three months. The photos do not do a lot of justice since it is not as noticeable as it would be in real life. But one thing is for sure, I am really pleased that my brows are now more defined-looking.

The pictures below are photos that I took on the first day my brows got groomed once again, which was yesterday. Now if you look closely, and compare and differentiate it with the last photo, it looks bolder, fuller and thicker.

More snapshots of my new eyebrows!!!!

Have you ever grown out your eyebrows? Did you thread it instead? Let me know down the comment section below!

ps. I don't wear any make-up whatsoever, unless I really have to, so please don't judge the fact that my faces in these photos are make-up free.

How am I.. really?

Ever had those days when you just do not know what to feel, what to think and what to do? I feel like Rapunzel, trapped and isolated. But unlike her, I am not trapped because I live in a high castle, I am trapped because I have so many thoughts running through my head. It bothers me. My negative thoughts weigh heavier than the positive ones. I am not free because my problems ambush me, it often leads to damage and the feeling of pain is not foreign to me. I feel so abused mentally because I am an emotional person, and to have all these bizarre, depressing and stressing thoughts, it is too much for me to handle. I hurt, every single day. I said I wanted to be positive, I am, but the bad energy at home has reached it's maximum. Whenever someone is stressed, it affects others like a domino. I feel so isolated because no one will ever get me. I feel so detached, and deserted from everything else because my baggage influences me to separate myself from people. Even my parents do not acknowledge the fact that I am depressed too. I am not sure if it is because I am younger and seem happy, or because they think I am carefree as fuck? But who am I to complain compared to everything they are going through? When will this end? I love my parents, and every time they go through something, mentally and emotionally, I go through it too. When they are hurt, I hurt too. I am very empathetic. It is a never ending battle. What did I say about having a break with all these problems? Dear heavenly father, I think I have had enough. I am trying to so hard to be positive, and just when I thought I am managing, it all comes crumbling down again.

To say I am fine is a load of bullshit.
To say I will be seems hopeless and pretentious.
To describe that everything right now is bad is an understatement.

So how am I really because at this point, I really have no idea anymore.

Blog Template Crisis!

Black or white? Yeah Michael Jackson, it does matter!

I know my url says scarlett and I was trying to maintain my medieval theme but it eventually brought boredom to my eyes. If you are new here, my blog's theme was red all over the place, white font, but it was pretty cool.. I loved it but I knew I needed to change it.

I wanted to try a clean-looking positive themed blog, but much to my lack of skills in creating themes, I cannot do what I imagine in my head.. So I went for the basic themes that Blogger offers users to choose from, now I'm indecisive. Will you help me choose? Please? I need your comments down below which look is better.

The black mystery.

The original plan was to have a white template to give off that light that creates a positive energy and the white color meaning pure, which provides a clean, welcoming blog. But that time, I was still trying to get accustomed to the customization portion of Blogger and I did not want to lose my current theme so I played it safe.. I decided to solely change the template, but it only permitted me to switch to either black or red. Since I have had that maroon template ever since I started blogging, I chose the black. For some reason, I liked it which explains why I currently have this theme and template on my blog. But I am the kind of person who cannot settle for something I did not picture. I was not expecting this look at all and it felt like something was missing in the blog. Aside from lacking luminous visibility, it obviously lacks emphasis on the content and that would not encourage the viewers to read my posts. I have a love-hate relationship with this look.

Considering I was not happy with my changes, I started playing around with the templates and themes. I wanted to see which one looked fitting to my imagination, and there you go, I finally figured how to make the template white...

The pure innocence.

Almost perfect! More complimenting, inviting and fresh (maybe because of the flowers). It nearly matched what I had in mind. You might ask why am I still indecisive about this if it is already parallel to what I had planned... well, it looks boring. I was just not use to clear and clean. I had always preferred dark over bright, except my laptop screen, of course. It just needs a little more of getting use to but now, it is your turn to decide and help me choose.. Which one is better? Which one encourages you more to visit and read my blog? Be honest please.

Having a dilemma here! Make sure you leave your comment! Thanks.

A list to fulfill, working in progress. For the bookworm and the movie buff.

I have four months to kill until I surround myself yet again with self-destructive school work, or anything related to school. Considering I am jobless and have no perfect social life, I thought, why not use those vacant four months productively? I love everything about art. If only I were born artistic, I would definitely pursue something in arts. Growing up, I was exposed to great variety of art and music. I can definitely call my old house 'the home and the culture of music and arts'. I am not bragging, I am just really proud to be given that kind of opportunity. I feel blessed because I know a lot of children miss out on so many things. This is the portion of my life that I want to share to my future family. My idea of remedy. It makes me intact and complete.

I find pleasure in reading, traveling, listening to music and watching great flicks and television shows. Reading wonderful books, gazing at the beautiful scenery that the world offers and unique architecture around the globe, and being entertained by a range of awesome music and collection of visual images are all very captivating because you learn and escape the stresses of life. Nothing is better than absorbing great art and culture to expand the mind. Delightful!

I have been surfing the cyberspace for some great flicks and shows to add to my list, and I also do the same for book hunting. The lists below will consist of all my friends' recommendations, the ones I found myself and the ones I have treasured with me all these years. Amazing list, I tell you, this shall keep me busy. I suggest you do the same, you will thank me later.

Who knows, I might even update this by adding more on the list whenever I come across something at the bookstore or here on the Internet that sparks my interest.

If you have some suggestions, please, I beg you, feel free to comment down below and I will definitely add it here. Thank you.

To stay or not to stay

Hello awesome readers,

As you all know (or not).. I am a really depressed person, I have been this way for almost two years and it's crazy how I haven't gotten out of the depression haul phase.. It started when I went off to University, things started to change really fast and way out of my control. Right to this day, I still do not know why everything just fell apart like a domino since November 2011. The choices I made, the disappointments, I feel like I have let myself down big time. I am seeing all my friends move on with their lives, most of them look really happy with what they are doing. Some are working students, some are working students + socialites, while some are just there.. and I am sitting here behind this laptop thinking.. oh God, how about me? I am just here waiting for the next day to wake up and sleep, when will I ever find out what I want to do for the rest of my life?

I have recently talked to my friends here in North America, we caught up and I found out that they are going to the Philippines to study and there's a great possibility that some of them will stay there to work. Before I found out about their plans, I have been thinking about it myself too. Ever since last year, my mom had already given me the signal that I can go home and study there.. Gaaaaah, I would love to! But I really cannot leave my mother here. Besides, I am not even sure if I will be happy after I make this decision. I do not even know if what I am thinking is the right thing to do. This is the biggest decision I will ever make and I do not think I can ever afford to make one more big mistake in my life. I have lost myself along the way, and my wants have slipped away from me and I just want to get back on the right track. The problem is, I do not know how. I have no clue where to start. I need me, but where can I find me?

Should I stay or should I go?
Should I go back to where my heart belongs?
What am I missing out on?

I honestly hope I figure it out soon.
I am so tired and I just want to do something with my life.
Hoping for the best.
